Texas Rangers vs. Cincinnati Reds (6:40 PM, EST)

After dropping their first season game, the Rangers won the next three to take the series against a very good Red Sox squad. While the offense is still a work in progress, the pitching has been fantastic. Three of their four starters allowed two or fewer runs, and closer Luke Jackson bounced back from an awful debut to save two games.

While Cincinnati has some talented bats, they’ll see Jumar Rocker for the first time. The 25-year-old was among the team’s top prospects and delivered a 3.86 ERA over three starts after making his Big League debut. He’ll be sharper this season, and the Reds' bats will struggle to keep up.

The Reds will have newly acquired Brady Singer making the start today. After looking like he was turning things around last season with the Royals, the righty completely fell apart down the stretch. In the season's final two months, he went 1-7 with a 5.60 ERA. This is the version of Singer we saw in 2023, and that’s what we expect to see again this season.

Los Angeles Angels vs. St. Louis Cardinals (7:45 PM EST)

The Angels did not come out of the gate strong against a terrible White Sox team. However, tonight’s matchup will give them a great chance to steal a road win.

The biggest issue for LAA has been their offense, but they’ll face an easy challenge in Miles Mikolas. We were surprised to see him in the rotation after posting a 5.35 ERA last season. He posted ERAs over 6.00 in August and September, showing little sign of turning things around. Mikolas’s ERA has significantly increased in the previous three seasons, an ominous sign for 2025.

Angels’ starter Tyler Anderson showed fatigue down the stretch of the 2024 season, but he started the season on fire. The lefty was a different pitcher on the road last season, going 7-6 with a 2.77 ERA as opponents managed a measly .204 batting average.

Anderson has allowed one or fewer runs in his first season start for three straight years and will do so again in 2025. He can safely protect the lead the Angels built against Mikolas before turning it over to a bullpen anchored by Kenley Jansen.

San Francisco Giants vs. Houston Astros (8:10 PM EST)

The Giants will have him back in the rotation in 2025 despite his struggles during Spring Training, and the Astros will make them pay for that tonight.
