We have some great opportunities to make some money on AL matchups today. The first comes from a battle between the Los Angeles Angels and the Kansas City Royals. The other is from a game between West Coast playoff contenders as the Seattle Mariners square off against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Below, we will share our favorite bet for both games. The odds we use are taken from FanDuel Sportsbook, which offers new players a welcome bonus of $200 in Bonus Bets when they sign up and make an initial winning wager of $5+

Royals starter Seth Lugo (13-7, 3.04 ERA, 1.09 WHIP) is in the middle of a slump, but he will break out of it with a strong start tonight. One reason for our confidence is the veteran’s play against the Angels in May, where he held them to one run on five hits and no walks over eight innings.
Lugo has been pitching far worse than he was in May, but the Angels have also gotten worse. They rank twenty-second in batting average and twenty-sixth in runs scored despite hot streaks from some of their up-and-coming starts. Those hot streaks have cooled, once again making this one of the worst offenses in baseball.
The Angels will have Carson Fulmer (0-3, 4.22 ERA, 1.25 WHIP) starting opposite Lugo. The veteran reliever has been making spot starts and working multiple innings out of the bullpen, but the results haven’t been pretty. Since he started working more innings on July 8, Fulmer has an ERA of 4.94.
Fulmer is coming off one of his worst starts, allowing five runs over three innings against the Blue Jays. He will be facing an even more dangerous Royals lineup tonight, so we expect to see a similar result play out.

The Mariners give us an excellent opportunity to make some Monday money. That is because they will have young Bryan Woo (5-1, 2.06 ERA, 0.85 WHIP) starting tonight. The 24-year-old has been lights out this season and has allowed just three runs over his last four starts (24 ⅔ innings).
As impressive as the Dodgers’ lineup is, we give the edge to Woo and the Mariners bullpen the edge tonight. Aside from Woo’s talent, the Dodgers have also seen Shohei Ohtani’s bat go cold, with a .172 average this month. Combine that with the fact they’ll be facing Woo for the first time, and you have a recipe for a low-scoring affair.
The Dodgers will also have a promising young starter on the mound in Gavin Stone (10-5, 3.63 ERA, 1.28 WHIP). The 25-year-old had a breakout season, but things fell apart in July. He has an ERA of 6.17 since July 1, showing no signs of turning things around.
The Mariners have seen Randy Arozarena and Victor Robles go cold, but Julio Rodrigues and Jorge Polanco have been stepping up. The two stars were expected to lead this Seattle lineup but struggled in the first half of the season. With both now finding their groove, this lackluster lineup suddenly becomes far more of a challenge.
