We have a pair of bets from two of the day’s best pitching matchups. The First comes from an AL East showdown between the Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays. The other is from a game between the Chicago White Sox and Seattle Mariners.
Below, we’ll be sharing our favorite bet for each game. We will use odds taken from FanDuel Sportsbook, which offers new players a bonus of $200 in Bonus Bets if their initial wager of $5+ wins.

We like Ryan Pepiot (4-2, 3.96 ERA) a lot, but we do not trust him against a great Orioles lineup tonight. While the Rays’ starter has solid numbers this season, he has been underwhelming since returning from injury late in May. In three starts since his return, Pepiot has a 4.74 ERA. Two of those starts came against poor offensive teams in the Marlins and A’s, but he’ll face far more of a challenge today.
The Orioles lineup has been among the best in the league this season. They are eighth in batting average (.247) and fifth in runs scored (321), led by a breakout season from Gunnar Henderson (.263 BA, 20 HR, 45 RBI, 8 SB). He is on track to easily surpass his numbers from last season, as has second-year catcher Adley Rutschman (.300 BA, 12 HR, 43 RBI). They lead a talented roster, leading to a short and rough start for Pepiot.
Baltimore will have Corbin Burnes (6-2, 2.26 ERA, 1.02 WHIP) making the start tonight. The former Cy Young winner has delivered eight straight quality starts and has allowed just one earned run over his last two (14 innings). We love his chances to stay hot against a Rays team that is twenty-fourth in the league in runs scored.
Bet on Orioles -1.5 (-156) at FanDuel
This is one of our favorite bets from last week. The matchups feature two of the league’s least dangerous offenses. The White Sox are dead last in the league in both batting average (.218) and runs scored (199). Seattle hasn’t been much better, ranking twenty-eighth in batting average (.221) and twenty-fourth in runs scored (251). Combine those numbers with the pitching matchup on the mound, and you’ll see why we love this bet.
The White Sox will have Erick Fedde (4-1, 3.27 ERA, 1.18 WHIP) starting against Seattle. The 31-year-old has the best campaign of his long career and has delivered scoreless outings in three of his last six starts. While the veteran has been hit hard by some of the league’s better offenses, that won’t be what he is facing tonight.
The Mariners will have Logan Gilbert (3-4, 3.12 ERA, 0.98 WHIP) taking the mound tonight. The righty has been turning into one of the best pitchers in the AL, but he had a rough run in May. The Twins beat him up and the Astros, but he was fantastic in his last start. Gilbert allowed just one run on five hits across seven innings against the A’s. Oakland and Chicago rank very closely on offense, and we see Gilbert delivering a similar start tonight.
