We have a pair of great bets from today’s impressive slate of games. The first comes from a division battle between the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals. The other involves a sinking Giants team taking on an injury-riddled Rangers squad.
Below, we will share our favorite bet for both games. The odds we use are taken from FanDuel Sportsbook, which offers new players a welcome bonus of $200 in Bonus Bets when they sign up and make an initial winning wager of $5+.

These two NL East teams have been headed in opposite directions of late. The Nationals have gone into a slump after outperforming expectations over the first two months. The Braves were amid a brutal run but have turned things around over the last week. Given that they’ll have their top starter on the mound tonight, we fully expect their turnaround to continue.
Chris Sale (8-1, 3.06 ERA, 0.95 WHIP) will be on the mound tonight for the Braves. The 35-year-old struggled badly over the last four seasons, limited by several injuries. Those struggles allowed the Braves to scoop him up in the offseason, which has paid off significantly. The seven-time All-Star is coming off his worst start of the season, but we love his chances to bounce back tonight against a Washington team that ranks twenty-third in batting average (.231) and twenty-fourth in runs scored (241).
The Nationals will have Jake Irvin (3-5, 3.39 ERA) starting opposite Sale tonight. The young pitcher has vastly improved in his second season and shut out the Braves over six innings when he faced them last month. However, that start came amid a brutal cold streak for Atlanta. The team is playing far better now, and we think they hit him hard this time out.
Bet on Braves -1.5 (-140) at FanDuel
This is one of our favorite bets of the entire week. The Rangers have found their groove over the last few weeks, winning six of their previous nine games. They dropped a disappointing home series to the Tigers, but we love their chances to bounce back against a Giants team that lost six of their previous seven games.
The Rangers have been desperate for healthy starting pitching and found it in Michael Lorenzen (3-3, 2.96 ERA). The veteran seemed like his career was coming to a close, but he has found new life with the Rangers. He has been especially great over his last four starts, allowing three runs over a combined 25.2 innings (1.07 ERA). While the Giants’ lineup is more dangerous than most people think, we think they hit a wall against a red-hot Lorenzen tonight.
San Francisco will have their ace on the mound tonight in Logan Webb (4-5, 2.95 ERA). The 32-year-old is off to another great start, but he is coming off one of his worst starts of the season. The righty allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk across seven innings against the Yankees. The Rangers lineup is one of the best in the league, and we expect to see a similar result tonight.
The Rangers lineup has disappointed this season, but things have been turning around lately. Josh Smith and Marcu Semien have been on fire over the last week. While superstar Corey Seager will likely miss the game with a hamstring injury, Semien and Smith are more than capable of making up for the loss of the 30-year-old.
