We have a pair of fantastic bets on the table for today. The first comes from a matchup between the NL Central-leading Milwaukee Brewers and the Miami Marlins. The second involves a game between a hot San Francisco Giants team and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Below, we will share our favorite bet for each game. We’ll use odds from FanDuel Sportsbook, which offers a welcome bonus of $150 in Bonus Bets to new players who sign up and make an initial winning wager of $5+.

The Brewers lost a game they should have won against the Marlins last night, but they will get payback today. One reason we are taking the run line is that Robert Gasser (2-0, 0.82 ERA) will be on the mound for the Brewers. The 24-year-old is one of the team’s top prospects, and he has been pitching like an ace through his first two starts. He’ll face his easiest test yet in the Marlins, and we think he delivers another outstanding performance.
Gasser will have plenty of support from a great Brewers offense. They are fourth in the league in batting average (.258) and third in runs scored (235), making them one of the best offensive teams in baseball. Even though they were held to two runs last night, that total would have been far higher had a freak ground-rule double not happened.
Trevor Rogers (1-6, 5.79 ERA) is another reason we are giving up the 1.5 runs tonight. The 26-year-old Marlins’ starter has been unable to recapture his success from his 2021 rookie campaign. At the same time, he is coming off his best start of the season, which came over just five innings against the Tigers. Before that, Rogers allowed a combined 12 runs in his previous two starts. We expect a similar result against a talented Brewers lineup tonight.
The Giants have been turning their season around over the last couple of weeks. They have won four straight games as their offense has surged. The Giants are averaging 5.2 runs scored per game over their previous ten despite losing Michael Conforto (.280 BA, 7 HR, 20 RBI) to injury.
San Francisco will have a significant advantage on the mound in Logan Webb (4-4, 3.03 ERA). The 27-year-old has been remarkable for the Giants over the last four seasons, and he is off to another great start in 2024. Webb is coming off one of his best starts of the season, holding the Dodgers scoreless on three hits across six innings. While his 1.35 WHIP is a cause for concern, we aren’t worried about it tonight against a Pirates team that has struck out the fourth most in the league.
The Pirates will turn veteran Martin Perez (1-3, 4.86 ERA, 1.50 WHIP), which is another reason we love this bet. The 33-year-old started the season strong but has been shelled across three starts in May, posting a 9.39 ERA. In his last start, Perez allowed the Brewers to score nine runs on 11 hits over five innings. The lefty fell off in 2023, and that trend is continuing this year.
