We have a pair of great bets today, both from the AL. The first involves a red-hot Erick Fedde and the White Sox taking on the Blue Jays. The other is an AL West battle between the Angels and Astros.
Below, we will share our favorite bet for each game. We'll be using odds from FanDuel Sportsbook, which offers a welcome bonus of $150 in Bonus Bets to new players who sign up and make an initial winning wager of $5+.

After a dismal start to the season, the White Sox have begun to win some games. A big part of their turnaround has been tonight’s starter: Erick Fedde (4-0, 2.60 ERA, 1.06 WHIP). The veteran righty seemed like he was on his way out of the big leagues after another brutal season in 2023, but he has been incredible for the White Sox this season.
Fedde is currently riding a 13-inning scoreless streak, allowing just nine hits and zero walks. His control has been near perfect, painting the strike zone to create weak contact and in-zone strikeouts. He will have a chance to keep his scoreless going tonight as he faces a Toronto team that is twenty-fourth in batting average (.227), twenty-ninth in runs scored (159), and strikeouts (315).
The Jays seem destined for another disappointing season, but Jose Berrios (4-3, 2.82 ERA, 1.05 WHIP) is having one of the best campaigns of his career. He has made just one start where he allowed more than two runs. Berrios is coming off one of his best efforts, allowing two runs on three hits across seven winnings against the Orioles. He’ll have a far easier opponent in the White Sox tonight, and we see it leading to another great start.
Bet on Under 7.5 (-104) at FanDuel
We have been making a lot of money taking the run line against Angels' starter Reid Detmers (3-4, 5.19 ERA, 1.36 WHIP). The 24-year-old is on a brutal cold streak that has seen him allow 4+ earned runs in five straight starts. He owns a 9.77 ERA over three starts this month and has allowed 20 hits and eight walks across 15 2/3 innings. Teams have covered the run line against the Angels in four of his last starts, and we see another one being added to the total tonight.
Another reason we love this bet is the Astros' lineup. They have been crushing the ball and now lead the league in batting average (.262) and sixth in home runs (53). Houston has been beating up good pitching over the last couple of weeks, and they will have no problem staying hot against an Angels starter that can’t keep runners off the bases.
The last reason we are locking in the run line is that the Astros will have Framber Valdez (3-1, 2.95 ERA) on the mound. The ace missed most of April with an injury, but he has been back in Cy Young form over his last two starts. Valdez allowed two combined runs on eight hits over 13 starts, winning both games.
The Angels' lineup is producing far better than expected since Mike Trout was injured and they did hit Valdez well last season. However, even if Valdez struggles it won’t be enough to make up for what the Houston offense will do to Demters tonight.
