Meanwhile, for Cruz Azul, they left everything on the line giving them a puncher's chance to pull off the upset. At home, La Máquina dominated the ball possession and finished with seven total shots with three on target. As stated above Julian Quinones etched his name on the scoresheet, registering his second goal in the 2024 Clausura playoffs.
