The PDC Home Tour is a brand new tournament allowing the very best darts players on the planet to compete against one another live from their own homes.
With the COVID-19 pandemic virtually disabling all global sports, the hierarchy at the Professional Darts Corporation came up with a fantastic and unprecedented concept which takes you inside the homes of all the big names in the game to watch them play one another live from two separate oches.
The event is open to all current PDC tour card holders each divided into mini leagues of four. Each player will compete against the other three in their group over a best of nine legs match.
It’s two points for a win and leg difference comes into play if players are tied on the same number of points. After that, group positions will be determined by the head to head result and then by their overall average on the night.
There will be a total of thirty two consecutive nights for the Group Phases and each winner on the evening will automatically qualify for the next round of the tournament.
No prize or ranking money will be on offer but players will each receive an appearance fee.
So far current World Champion, Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright, and the reigning World Grand Slam Champ, Gerwyn Price, have signed up for the tournament. Other notable names include former Premier League star, Dave Chisnall, and four times Lakeside Women’s Champion, Lisa Ashton.
Expect other huge names to join that list in the coming days.
You can stream every match during the event live worldwide on bet365 NJ.

At present, only the first four groups have been announced with the remaining twenty eight to follow very soon. To use the bet365 NJ live streaming service you will need to be logged in and have a funded account or to have placed a bet in the last 24 hours. Please see full T&Cs at bet365 NJ.
For anyone who wants to wager on the PDC Home Tour there are plenty of betting markets you can look at. The most popular ones are Outright Winner, Match Winner, Correct Leg Score, Alternative Handicap and Highest Checkout.
Gerwyn Price is the clear favorite for Group 2 and he is available at -177.
Dave Chisnall stands at -125 to finish top of Group 3, and Group 4’s favorite to qualify for the last 32 is Ross Smith at +150.

Tonight sees the reigning World Grand Slam Champion, Gerwyn Price begin his quest and despite the full field yet to be announced is one of the hot favorites to win the tournament.
Group 2 Fixtures
Gerwyn Price v Rowby-John Rodriguez
Luke Woodhouse v Ted Evetts
Rowby-John Rodriguez v Ted Evetts
Gerwyn Price v Luke Woodhouse
Ted Evetts v Gerwyn Price
It’s the Iceman who kicks proceedings off tonight against the talented young Austrian, Rowby-John Rodriguez. This should be a slam dunk for Price but it is an unprecedented event and we have already seen the World Champion, Peter Wright, crash out on day one so it’s far from a formality.
The boy from Vienna can certainly play and will be keen to rack up his first victory over the Welshman in what will be their fifth competitive meeting.
Luke Woodhouse and Ted Evetts make up group two and only nine places separate them in the PDC Order of Merit, standing 57 and 66 respectively. It’s a coin toss of a match but fully aware they have to face Gerwyn Price later in the evening they will know that defeat would leave them with an uphill task.
Price is clear favorite to win the group but the uncertainty of how players adapt to the event and the short format open up doors to surprise results.
One market that caught my eye was the 180s. Only sixteen other players had a better maximum ratio per leg than Ted Evetts in 2019 and if his matches against Woodhouse and Rodriguez go close to the distance then over 2.5 could be good value at +250.
Alternatively you can bet him to score the most 180s in either match at +138 and +140 respectively.
The other bet I like is Evetts to beat Rodriguez at -121. SuperTed has won their last three matches and is the bookies outsider in this match.
Group Three Fixtures
Dave Chisnall v Scott Waites
Jan Dekker v Jonathan Worsley
Scott Waites v Jonathan Worsley
Dave Chisnall v Jan Dekker
Jan Dekker v Scott Waites
Jonathan Worsley v Dave Chisnall
Opening up the evening tonight is a tasty clash between multi major finalist Dave Chisnall and two time Lakeside Champion, Scott Waites. Expect a high quality affair with two vastly experienced players who are meeting in the PDC for the sixth time with Chizzy leading 3-2 in the head to head.
The Netherlands and Wales are the countries that provide us with the other two players in Group Three. Dutchman Jan Dekker faces the lesser known man from Newport in Jonathan Worsley.
Having ditched his ‘Mr Coat’ nickname, Double Dekker is now into his fifth year as a PDC player but yet to go further than the Quarter Final stages of a television major. However, he starts as favorite to topple his opponent known affectionately as ‘Womble’ who only regained his tour card in January of last year.
Dekker holds a slight 4-3 in his head to head with Waites and throws first in the match so +138 for the Dutchman to win is certainly good value.
The other price I like is over 7.5 legs in the Chisnall versus Worlsey match at -104. It’s the final match of the evening and the Welshman will have the darts in the opening leg.
So wherever you are in the world, if you love your darts then relax, place a couple of bets, put your feet up and allow the stars of the PDC to invite you into their homes for many nights of fantastic tungsten excitement.
