Odds taken form bet365 sportsbook
The head-to-head records between these two teams are skewed in favour of the Indian team. The men in blue have beaten West Indies in 15 T20I matches, while the Caribbean boys have had the last laugh on only seven occasions. With current form and squad strength also favouring them, we have predicted Rohit Sharma’s team to win this match, and subsequently, clinch the series.

West Indies: Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Nicholas Pooran (c), Shimron Hetmyer, Devon Thomas (wk), Rovman Powell, Dominic Drakes, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Romario Shepherd/Alzarri Joseph, Obed McCoy
India: Rohit Sharma (c), Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson/Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wk), Hardik Pandya, Deepak Hooda, Dinesh Karthik, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel/Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh.
West Indies and India will lock horns in the fourth match of the five-match T20I series at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill on Saturday, 6th August.
West Indies have managed to challenge the Indian team at times, but so far, it is the men in blue who have played a better brand of cricket. In the first match, Rohit Sharma’s men handed the Caribbean boys a comprehensive 68-run defeat
The last couple of matches, however, have been way more competitive. Obed McCoy wreaked havoc for the hosts in the second game, where India suffered a 5-wicket defeat. In the last match, West Indies batted first and were able to put up a decent total of 164 runs on the scoreboard. India could have lost that match had it not been for Suryakumar Yadav, whose scintillating knock ensured Rahul Dravid’s team crossed the finishing line with an over to spare.
Except for the first match, where they scored only 122 runs, West Indies have not really had a poor time with the bat. However, they have struggled in their bowling department, and hence, we can expect at least one change in that contingent.
Alzarri Joseph is usually a reliable pacer, but he has not got going in this series. Joseph went wicketless in his last match, while his economy rate over the last three matches has been 9.50 runs per over. He could be axed in this match for Romario Shepherd, who can not also offer Nicholas Pooran four overs, but is also a clean striker of the ball.
As for the Indian team, while they can opt to stick to their winning combination, it will not be surprising to see a couple of changes. Shreyas Iyer has had a very difficult time in this series, scoring only 34 runs at a disappointing average of 11.33. He could make way for Sanju Samson, while the other tweak could be spotted in the bowling department, Avesh Khan was smacked to all parts of the ground by the West Indian batters in the last match, and hence, he might be asked to make room for Harshal Patel.
Obed McCoy: Though West Indies’ bowling department has not been impressive in this series, our top pick from their team is a bowler – Obed McCoy. The 25-year-old pacer has been equally good in terms of picking up wickets and keeping the flow of runs under check. He has picked up seven wickets in three matches, which includes a six-wicket haul in the second game, and has maintained an economy rate of only 6.75 runs per over.
Suryakumar Yadav: While a few Indian batters have struggled in this series most of them have had a good time so far, but the one batter who has been a level above everyone else is Suryakumar Yadav. The Mumbaikar has scored 111 runs in three matches, maintaining an average of 37 and a fantastic strike rate of 168.18. His best knock came in the last match, where he scored 76 runs from 44 deliveries, hitting four sixes and twice as many fours in the process.
