T20 World Cup 2024 Player Props & Best Bets for Saturday, June 15

With the Super 8 spots quickly getting filled up, we are into the most exciting stage of the Group games. We have England in a tight position with a must-win situation prevailing as they face the mercurial Namibia in Antigua.

Jofra Archer to Be England's Top Bowler (+350) on BetMGM

Going up against Namibia after battering Oman with their strong bowling attack, England will aim to operate the exact same way, letting the bowlers take the lead against Namibia’s batters. Although this batting line-up is a lot stronger than Oman's, England's bowling has the variety and pace to trouble Namibia. The key in doing so would be Jofra Archer, who generates zip and bounce off a length, making batting particularly difficult early in the innings, especially on tracks like these.

Archer was the wrecker-in-chief for England's last game, taking the first two wickets that set the tone for his side to bowl Oman out for a meager 47. The seamer, coming out of injury for this tournament, has stood out with his control and pace and could once again be the major threat for the opposition.

Phil Salt to Be the England's Top Batter (+450) on BetMGM

With 435 runs in 12 games, Phil Salt was one of the best overseas openers in IPL 2024 and he thrived on the exact same template every game - going hard in the powerplay on true surfaces and pushing the bowlers onto the backfoot. Salt began the innings against Oman with back-to-back sixes but was dismissed off the third ball.

Against the Aussies, he made an impactful 23-ball 37 with two sixes and once again showcased good form with the bat. Salt will be decisive in England pushing their net run rate up further to avoid Scotland edging them to the second round. Travis Head to Be the Top Batter for Australia (+320) on FanDuel

Arguably the most aggressive batter in this tournament, Travis Head hasn't quite had the conditions or bowling attack to dig into this tournament. Yet, he has shown glimpses of his attacking batting in the T20 World Cup. Fresh off a stunning IPL season, where he set the benchmark with a rapid scoring rate, Head will eye the Scotland attack in St.Lucia to make a significant score. 

Head made 567 runs in 15 games in IPL 2024, scoring at a rate of 191.5 and averaging 40.5. He was the fourth-highest run-scorer in the tournament despite the high-risk approach he embraced and we could see more of the same here where things align perfectly for the Aussie opener.

Head has scores of 12, 34, and 34 in the three games so far but a constant feature of his batting was the unmistakable intent at the top of the order even on bowler-friendly wickets. Back Head to make the top score for Australia in this match.

Mitchell Starc to Be the Player of the Match (+700) on BetMGM

After a lackluster start to IPL 2024, Mitchell Starc finished the tournament with Player of the Match performances in Qualifier 1 and in the final, helping his team Kolkata Knight Riders to a memorable third trophy win. 

Starc has just two wickets in two matches this tournament, making him an underdog to be the top wicket-taker in this game, which is exactly why you should bank on Starc to make a big impact in this match.
