We have an action-packed day in the middle of the week in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 with as many as six teams hitting the ground. All three games could be key in determining the teams that go through to the Super 8 round from their respective groups.
Bangladesh can consolidate their position in the top two in Group D when they take on Netherlands. England, meanwhile, need a big win against Oman to give their net run rate a boost. In Group C, Afghanistan take on PNG and a win would see them through to the Super 8.
We have odds from FanDuel and BetMGM sportsbook for the T20 World Cup with the former offering $200 in bonus bets after placing a $5 winning wager. At BetMGM, you get a whopping $1,500 in Bonus Bets* if your initial bet doesn’t fetch you a win.

Fresh off a three-wicket haul against South Africa, Tanzim Hasan Sakib will be a strong contender to be Bangladesh’s top bowler against Netherlands. The Dutch have struggled with the bat this tournament so far, especially against pace, and Tanzim, who brings additional zip and speed to this Bangladesh attack, could be key to unlocking Netherlands’ top-order.
Tanzim has 44 wickets in 38 T20s and has shown a penchant for knocking batters over with his seam movement in the early overs. With conditions expected to assist his type of bowling, the Bangladesh quick could make a significant impact in this game, which could potentially help his side qualify for the Super 8 round.
One of the top-ranked Netherlands batters in the ICC T20I batting rankings, Michael Levitt has had a tough tournament so far with stroke-making turning out to be an arduous task in New York and Dallas.
As the Netherlands move out to St. Vincent for their clash against Bangladesh, Levitt’s chances of doing well with the bat multiply. With conditions expected to be much more batting-friendly, Levitt's style of batting could be a lot more impactful and we could see him top the run-scoring chart for the Netherlands in this game.
Having had an ordinary tournament so far, Levitt may not be the favorite for this punt, but data tells us that he's one of Netherlands’ best batters in recent times and in helpful conditions, still their best bet to win games on his own with the bat.

Papua New Guinea’s sharp modern-day T20 spinner, John Kariko has left a strong impression in the two games so far. Against the West Indies, he conceded just 17 runs in his four overs and picked up the big wicket of Nicholas Pooran. In the loss to Uganda, he was again at his best, operating with precision to concede just 18 runs in four overs.
Kariko will get more grip from the Trinidad surface, making him a potential threat for Afghanistan batters, who like to take on the spinners. Kariko hasn't had a big haul in the tournament so far, but on a trickier wicket that assists spin, he could be the potential game-changer for PNG.
Expect him to be the top bowler for PNG in their crucial Group C clash on June 13.
Rashid Khan’s quality as a leg-spinner cannot overstated and at a time even top teams around the globe struggle to face him, PNG’s task would be even harder. With most of their batters rarely playing competitive cricket against the top-flight teams, Rashid’s skill could be a tough one to match for them.
The leg-spinner is expected to get a pitch that completely aligns with his strengths, making Rashid not just a potential candidate for the top bowler of the game, but also the Player of the Match.
The Afghanistan spinner is the second-highest wicket-taker in all T20s with 580 wickets in 427 games. With his experience of playing matches all over the world, Rashid is Afghanistan’s key player as they make a strong push for a Super 8 berth. With a win against PNG, Rashid’s team would all but ensure a place in the next round and are potential candidates to even go to the semi-finals.

England, the defending champions, are down and out in the tournament with just one point after two games and need a win plus other results going their way to progress to the next round from Group B. As they face Oman, England aren't just targeting a win, but also a significant boost to their net run rate which currently stands at -1.800. They could potentially match Scotland on points with two wins, including one in this game, but that alone wouldn't suffice with a net run rate push the real aim.
Jos Buttler would be key to this agenda with the skipper and opener one of the most dynamic batters in world cricket today. He made a 28-ball 42 against Australia in England's only outing with the bat and his form was evidently good. Buttler will know that he needs to take the aggressive route in this game against the Oman attack and this potentially raises his chance of topping the batting charts this game.
Buttler has played quite a few games in Antigua and knows the conditions well, and with him opening the batting, there's plenty of time for the Englishman to make a significant score. Back him to be England’s top batter this match.
Oma’s experienced all-rounder and skipper Aqib Ilyas is their No.3 batter and he has had good starts in two of the three games the team has played. However, Ilyas is yet to make a strong impression in the tournament. With potentially little to lose from their final game, the skipper will be aiming to unsettle the English bowling line-up.
Ilyas has a good record in T20s with the bat, having made 1387 runs in 55 matches at an average over 30. He's also coming off a good year in 2024, where he has made 398 runs, the most he has made in any year in his international career. Back him to come out of his slump and make a strong impression against England.
