Adelaide Strikers hold the edge against Perth Scorchers in terms of head-to-head records, but only by a slender margin. They have beaten the Scorchers eight times, while the girls in orange have got the better of the Strikers on six occasions. Perth, however, have the upper hand in recent results, as they won both outings against Strikers this season. Since they have had a better overall campaign and will be playing this game at their home ground, the Scorchers are likely to win this match.

Perth Scorchers: Sophie Devine (c), Beth Mooney (wk), Chloe Piparo, Mathilda Carmichael, Piepa Cleary, Amy Louise Edgar, Heather Graham, Marizanne Kapp, Alana King, Taneale Peschel, Lilly Mills

Perth Scorchers and Adelaide Strikers will square off in the final of the seventh installment of Women’s Big Bash League, at the Perth Stadium. Both sides have the experience of playing in a WBBL final, but have not got their hands on the crown yet.
The Scorchers have undoubtedly been the most consistent team this season. Sophie Devine & Co. won four of their first seven games and five of their last seven ties. They are coming into this game on the back of a six-game unbeaten streak.
Strikers, on the other hand, have not been as flawless, but have displayed great character to make it all the way to the final. They won only two of their first leg games, but registered four victories in the second round to make it to the play-offs. In the knock-outs, they have had to get the better of Brisbane Heat first, and then Melbourne Renegades, to set up a final date.
Adelaide Strikers are likely to field an unchanged XI from the last game against Melbourne Renegades. Having picked up two wickets against the red shirts, Darcie Brown should retain her place in Tahlia McGrath’s team, which will keep Jemma Barsby in the bench. Though Sarah Coyte did not return with any wickets against the Renegades, she has had a fairly impressive campaign and is unlikely to be benched in this all-important clash.
Like the Strikers, Perth Scorchers might also field an unchanged XI from the convincing over Sydney Sixers, but the room to experiment is more in their case. Taneale Peschel has not had a great campaign, and despite bowling four overs against the Sixers, he failed to pick up wickets. In her place, Lisa Griffith can be given a run.
Sophie Devine: The Scorchers have had a fantastic batter in Beth Mooney, while Heather Graham and Alana King have been phenomenal with the ball, but amid one-dimension specialists, Sophie Devine was been the ideal 360° package. She has scored 407 runs and has also picked up 9 wickets. In her last game against the Strikers, the veteran Kiwi scored 61 runs and also picked up 2 wickets.
Katie Mack: The Strikers do not have as many big names as the Scorchers, but players like Katie Mack and Amanda-Jade Wellington has redefined their limits this season. The former is their highest run-scorer, with 507 runs in 16 matches. The 28-year-old has scored five half-centuries in her last eight matches, which includes a sublime knock of unbeaten 84 against the Scorchers.
