She stopped her opponent at the Overtime Elite Arena at 1:54 of the fifth, with referee Ansel Stewart saving the beaten woman from taking any more punishment. In her six fights since that defeat in the UK, Hermans has won four on points, including each of her last two.

The champion beat Mary Spencer again on the scorecards, taking a ten-round decision in Montreal, and followed that with a six-round victory against Ester Konecna in Ghent last time. She’s a fighter enjoying great form and enters this latest challenge with confidence. She doesn’t hold the same pristine record as her opposite number but enjoys a solid run of victories against good opposition. Will she continue her winning ways at the weekend?
