All the talk ahead of this weekend’s massive show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London focuses on Anthony Joshua. The local makes the latest defense of his world heavyweight title belts against unbeaten Oleksandr Usyk. Many with a keen eye for the fight game in Britain expect this to be the toughest outing of AJ’s career. Still, he is a favorite with the bookies and most pundits to hold onto his titles and move a step closer to that unification clash with Tyson Fury, which could happen in the first half of 2022.
The main event promises to be a cracker and will draw a global audience, as any world heavyweight championship fight does. The chief support caught our attention and is the fixture we focus on in this preview. The Matchroom Sports promoted card from the home of English Premier League soccer club Tottenham Hotspur consists of six bouts, and all but two of them are for a respected title. The exceptionally talented Lawrence Okolie meets fellow unbeaten fighter Dilan Prasovic over 12 rounds for the WBO world cruiserweight title, and this one will go close to upstaging the main event.
Below you’ll find the betting odds available on the fight-winner market on Lawrence Okolie vs Dilan Prasovic.

This show has already been put back once, meaning bookmakers have had odds available for the fights for quite some time. Most firms have stuck with their initial thoughts and either kept their prices or tweaked them only slightly in response to support in the betting. You can take a gamble on Okolie v Prasovic and pick the man you expect to win. Both bring 100% records onto the canvas, but Okolie from Hackney, London, is the pre-fight favourite to claim another scalp and impressive win.
Many fight fans will be making their predictions on the winner of this bout and the evening’s other main attractions. They will be looking to edge a profit by backing every prediction as a single, but most would prefer a parlay bet which gives them big odds for small returns. With a parlay, you can add three or more picks to the same bet, and it’s all for one stake. As there’s just one stake required, it means it’s one bet. If all of your selections win, then your bet lands and will be paid out for a profit, but if just one of your predictions fails, the entire bet is a loser.
In addition to the fight winner betting market, which is the most popular among fight game backers, there is also a long list of specials available. Some of these give you an increased chance of landing a winner or could improve your profits when making a bet.
Some of the most popular specials are exact winning round, group round betting, method of victory, to be knocked down, both fighters to be knocked down, fight to be won in an odd/even number of rounds and plenty more. There’s something that appeals to all different types of bettors, and you’re sure to find a bet that appeals to you. Check out the full list of boxing betting markets on your chosen sportsbook to see what’s available. There may be a better way to bet.
Lawrence Okolie is one of the hottest prospects in British boxing at the minute, and it’s interesting he will be on the undercard of Joshua v Usyk. A few former UK heavyweights have tipped Okolie to dominate the cruiserweight division before going on to win titles at heavyweight, something Oleksandr Usyk is attempting to do in the bill topper at Wembley. Lawrence certainly has the skills to achieve that, but he still has a long way to go, and there are some big fights ahead in the cruiserweight division before The Sauce can begin to think about moving up a division.
The Englishman brings a professional record reading 16 wins from as many fights with 13 knockouts already on his CV. In March, he was last seen in action beating Krzysztof Glowacki inside six rounds at Wembley Arena to win the vacant version of the title that is on the line here. Okolie has now secured his legacy as a former amateur star and professional world champion, but the pressure isn’t off. It’s increased as he now has to deal with the weight of expectations as he tries to defend his belt.
The champion is the main man here, and he’ll enjoy the backing of the home support but the man starting in the opposite corner is more than just another opponent. Dilan Prasovic is an unbeaten fighter from Montenegro with a 15-0-0 record, a dozen of his wins coming by way of knockout. The 26-year-old is ranked number one in his home nation but 28th in the world.
He is a well-traveled fighter, so coming to London and playing the pantomime villain won’t faze him. He’ll want to let his boxing do the talking and knows a win on the big stage has the power to change his life and career overnight.
