The growth of the new Fanatics Sportsbook continued last week as it went live in West Virginia. The Mountain State is the sixth market that Fanatics now has access to as they continue to expand. They are now the ninth sportsbook to be live in West Virginia, joining DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Betly, Caesars, ESPN Bet, BetRivers, and Golden Nugget.
The launch comes a few months after Fantatics acquired the US business of Pointsbet Sportsbook. Pointsbet had an operating license in West Virginia, which Fanatics was able to acquire through the purchase. This allows the operator to skip the lengthy licensing process by transferring the license after receiving approval from the West Virginia Lottery.
Fanatics also debuted their online casino in West Virginia. The state was the first to have access to the new platform, with only five other states choosing to legalize the industry. Fanatics can target more states with legal online casinos going forward. Aside from West Virginia, Fanatics has access to launch its casino platform in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Michigan thanks to its acquisition of Pointsbet.
Fanatics is looking to break into the crowded West Virginia sports betting market with a fantastic welcome offer. New users in West Virginia will receive $200 in bonus bets when they make an initial wager of at least $10.
Once a qualifying initial wager is placed, new users will receive $40 in bonus bets each day for five straight days. Those bonus funds cannot be withdrawn for cash, but the bettor will keep any winnings from wagers placed using them.
On top of a fantastic welcome bonus for new users, Fanatics also has one of the best rewards programs in the industry. Bettors can earn FanCash when wagering on the Fanatics Sportsbook. FanCash can be used to purchase team gear or a large selection of other prizes through the Fanatics website. Fanatics has you covered if you have your eye on a new jersey for your favorite team.
