The owner of the Arizona Cardinals, Michael Bidwill, will discuss “the important role of responsibility in sports betting, and what’s next” as the keynote headliner at this year’s Global Gaming Expo (G2E), happening in Las Vegas from October 4 to 7.
It’s all part of ‘The Cards on the Table’ series hosted by American Gaming Association (AGA) President and CEO Bill Miller, who talks with gaming’s top industry leaders on how they have navigated COVID-19 and gaming’s road to recovery.
The keynote “Cards on the Table: A Conversation with Arizona Cardinals’ Michael Bidwill” will feature a discussion between Bidwill and Miller on the convergence of legal sports betting and professional sports.
I look forward to welcoming Michael to the G2E keynote stage to hear his unique perspective on the dynamic, evolving sports landscape.
The dialogue happens on Wednesday, October 6 at 1 pm, with several key issues expected to be discussed:
Industry insiders are thrilled at the G2E’s return to Vegas.
After a virtual G2E was held in 2020 due to the worldwide pandemic, the AGA, with partner Reed Exhibitions, formally announced in June its plans to move forward with G2E 2021 as an in-person event.
The G2E 2021 will be held at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, NV from October 4-7 with additional virtual components located at the Sands Expo.
The G2E is presented by the American Gaming Association (AGA) and organized by RX (Reed Exhibitions) and is designed to “help you make meaningful connections, discover cutting-edge technology, and experience innovative content,” according to its website.
All a part of the ongoing movement to convert global sports fans into excited bettors.
Legal sports betting began launching in the US a few weeks after the Supreme Court struck down the federal wagering ban in May 2018, and since then it has added a new dimension to the relationship between fans and sports franchises.
As AGA President and CEO Miller told the press:
The expansion of legal sports betting is deepening fan engagement and driving new business opportunities for sports leagues and teams.
Cardinals’ owner Bidwill concurs, noting:
Cardinals fans are very passionate, and the launch of legal sports betting in Arizona provides a new and innovative way to interact with them.
Arizona has now proven to be a hotbed of sports wagering ever since launching its operations at the start of the NFL’s 2021 regular season at the beginning of September, all fueled by dreams of generating more than $200 million annually in revenue, money that will be reinvested in the Grand Canyon State.
